Kathmandu: Proton’s electric SUV lineup has been drawing strong customer interest at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, with visitors showing keen interest in both the newly launched Proton e.MAS 5 and the Proton e.MAS 7 at Stall L-6, Hall B. The expo, being held from August 11 to 16 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, has provided customers with an opportunity to experience Proton’s electric SUVs firsthand. The stall has seen a steady flow of visitors exploring the vehicles, discussing features with product representatives, and enquiring about prices, ownership and booking options. The Proton e.MAS 5, a compact electric SUV designed for modern urban lifestyles, has attracted attention with its rear-wheel-drive platform, smart storage solutions, 14.6-inch display, 375-liter boot space, V2L technology and G-Traction Control System. Its compact dimensions and practical features make it particularly suited to Nepal’s increasingly busy urban roads while offering the versatility required for everyday use. The e.MAS 5 is available in Prime and Premium variants, priced at NPR 32.99 lakh and NPR 36.99 lakh, respectively. Meanwhile, the Proton e.MAS 7 offers a larger SUV experience for customers looking for greater space, performance and long-distance practicality. Its Prime variant is powered by a 160 kW electric motor and a 49.52 kWh LFP battery, delivering a WLTP-rated range of around 345 km. It also features advanced driver-assistance technology and a 15.4-inch display, making it well suited for both daily commuting and intercity journeys.
